Daycareproviders.com has been made aware of four instances where a
person in a foreign country or the US is trying to get money out of our child care
providers by committing fraud. The scenario goes like this:
Someone internationally sends you an email
through a web site you are listed on. They state they need care for their
son/daughter for a month while they come to the states. The person sends a bogus
check/money order for 5,000 dollars or what ever amount they send, and want you to take
out your charges for the month and send him/her the rest of the money.
This scenario can change into any form and can
be solicited in the states as well.
There are person's who need child care
in the USA and are from other countries, so please be careful when conducting business
with persons outside the USA.
Our web site protects your email address
so person's cannot acquire your actual email address. Please be aware that not all
web site's do this. Your email address can be acquired from several other child care
directory's online. We have seen over the past year or two that other sites like
ours, have taken our lead in protecting their members email address's as well.
Please help get the word out on this, email your associations your fellow
providers.
